FoS Participates in the “AI in Health Care” Conference
A delegation from the Faculty of Sciences (FoS) at Al Maaref University (MU) participated in a scientific conference on the applications of artificial intelligence in the medical field, titled “Artificial Intelligence in Health Care – From Data to Insights.” The event was organized by Sheikh Ragheb Harb University Hospital in southern Lebanon, in collaboration with the university, on Friday, December 19, 2025, aiming to keep pace with the latest scientific and technological developments in the healthcare sector.
The MU delegation included the Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. El Abed El Safadi, along with faculty members Dr. Rayan Al-Sibae and Dr. Mubarak Mohammad, alongside a distinguished group of academics from the Lebanese University. The conference was attended by numerous physicians, specialists, and researchers in both medical and technical fields.
The conference addressed the role of artificial intelligence in improving healthcare quality, supporting medical decision-making, and developing diagnostic and treatment methods. It also showcased practical experiences and applications that contribute to enhancing healthcare services and improving patient outcomes. The program included scientific lectures and interactive discussion sessions, focusing on the future of AI in healthcare, as well as ethical and technical challenges and opportunities for its integration into modern healthcare systems.
