Dr. Jalal Jomaa is the Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Al Maaref University.
Dr. Jomaa holds a diploma in engineering from the University of Grenoble, France, in 1992, in addition to a doctorate in microelectronics in 1995 from the same university.
The doctor worked in many fields during his career and moved between France and Lebanon. The professor has also authored many academic publications and research papers. His research reached the following numbers:

Imad Jawhar is a distinguished professor and chair of computer engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Al Maaref University. He brings a wealth of experience to his current role, having previously served as a professor at the College of Information Technology at the United Arab Emirates University.
Dr. Jawhar earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA. Additionally, he holds a Master's in computer science and a Ph.D. in computer engineering from Florida Atlantic University, USA, where he also contributed as a faculty member for several years.
With a notable career that extends beyond academia, Dr. Jawhar has made significant contributions to the field. He has authored and published over 100 papers in international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. His expertise extends to his previous role at Motorola, where he served as an engineering task leader, playing a key role in the design and development of IBM PC-based software for leading portable radios and cutting-edge communication products and systems. Moreover, he has owned and presided over Atlantic Computer Training and Consulting, a South Florida-based company.
Currently, Dr. Jawhar's research is concentrated in the domains of wireless networks and mobile computing, sensor networks, cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things, and distributed systems. His commitment to advancing knowledge is further evident through his service on numerous international conference committees and his role as a reviewer for esteemed publications, including those of the American National Science Foundation (NSF). Dr. Jawhar is an active member of professional organizations, including IEEE and ACM, showcasing his dedication to the broader scientific community.

Dr. Bassem EL ZOGHBI is the Chairperson of Mechanical Engineering Department at Al Maaref University.
Dr. Bassem holds a diploma in mechanical engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique de Lille, France in 2010, in addition to a doctorate in mechanics of materials in 2013 from the University of Grenoble-Alpes, France.

Dr. Hussein Mouzanar is the Head of Civil Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering.
Dr. Mouzanar earned his Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Lyon, France in 2016.
Dr. Mouzanar is the author and co-author of many publications in the field of structural and materials engineering.

Dr. Termous earned his B.E. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Lebanese University, followed by a M.S. in Industrial Control from both the University of Technology of Compiègne, France, and the Lebanese University. He received his Ph.D. in Automatic Control in 2020 from the University of Bordeaux, France, and the Lebanese University.
He specializes in modeling and control of Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and global chassis control, in addition to real-time experience in high-speed testing and measurement instruments. Currently, he is a lecturer for electronics and control courses with research activities focused on the design and control of autonomous and power systems.

Dr. Fatima Harkouss is a full-time instructor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Al Maaref University. She is a highly accomplished professional in the field, having earned her Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Materials, Modeling, and Mechatronics (3M), from Lebanese University in 2013. Subsequently, she pursued and received a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Net Zero Energy Buildings, from Côte d'Azur University, France, in 2018.
With a wealth of professional experience, Dr. Harkouss has made significant contributions as a mechanical engineering consultant and contractor, actively participating in numerous projects in Lebanon and abroad. Her expertise extends beyond industry, as she has also played a crucial role in academia. As an author, Dr. Harkouss has contributed to numerous research journals and international and national conference papers, showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge in her field.
Furthermore, Dr. Harkouss has played an instrumental role in guiding scholars through their educational journeys, demonstrating her dedication to fostering the development of future professionals. She has supervised PhD theses and various capstone projects, contributing to the growth and success of students under her mentorship.

Dr. Houssein Ammar is assistant professor at AL MAAREF University. He joined the University in 2022 and serves in the mechanical engineering department as instructor and coordinator of Energy/Thermo/Fluid courses. He obtained his BE in Mechanical engineering (2008) from Lebanese University; and his Master’s (2009) from Polytech’Nantes and PhD (2012) in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Nantes. Research interests of Dr. Ammar includes Fluid flow, Mixing enhancement of fluids, Microfluidics, Computational fluid dynamics, Applied thermodynamics, Optimization studies of thermal systems.

Dr. Ayman Khalil, a full-time instructor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Technology at Al Maaref University. Dr. Khalil earned his ME in Networking and Telecommunications from the Lebanese University/Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon, in 2007. He furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining a Ph.D. in telecommunications from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Rennes, France, in 2010. During his doctoral studies, Dr. Khalil was affiliated with the Electronics and Telecommunications Institute of Rennes (IETR), where his research focused on the optimization of high-data-rate WPAN systems.
With a strong background in research and project involvement, Dr. Khalil has actively contributed to several European projects, including OMEGA. For three years, he dedicated his efforts to developing solutions and protocols for next-generation home networks as part of the OMEGA project.
Dr. Khalil's primary research interests encompass next-generation computer systems, security, network coding, and AI-based optimization solutions. In addition to his research endeavors, he has played a crucial role in mentoring and supervising PhD students in both Lebanon and France.
Dr. Ayman Khalil's commitment to advancing knowledge is evident not only through his academic achievements but also in his active engagement with research publications.

Dr. Samar Sindian is a full-time instructor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Technology. She holds a Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Lebanese University and Saint-Joseph University, completed in 2009. In 2014, she obtained her Ph.D. in Computer and Communication Engineering from INSA de Rennes, France.
With over a decade of experience in education, Dr. Sindian has taught at various private universities and the Lebanese University since 2007. In 2017, she served as a member of the Programs Evaluation Committee at the Ministry of Education and has been a Cisco Certified Instructor since 2011.
On the other hand, Dr. Sindian has authored a number of research papers, including eight journal publications and nine research papers. Moreover, she has delivered speeches at two international seminars and supervised a large number of master's theses.

Dr. Zaynab Tarhini is a full-time instructor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Al Maaref University. She earned a diploma in Civil Engineering from the Lebanese University in 2013 and obtained a Master's degree from UFR Sciences ET Technologies-France in the same year. In 2016, Dr. Tarhini completed her doctorate in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Poitiers, France.
Adding to her academic achievements, Dr. Tarhini has actively participated in several conferences, both in France and internationally. Since 2017, she has been dedicatedly contributing to the field of education, sharing her expertise at various universities in Lebanon.

Dr. Rahal has 40 years of experience, most of it with international companies overseas. He worked in the United Kingdom, Qatar, UAE, Libya, Cyprus and Lebanon in the design, construction and management of civil engineering and buildings projects, which includes bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, highways and infrastructure works. He was the CEO of companies specializing in high-rise building construction between 2004 and 2019.
Dr. Rahal earned his Ph.D. degree in the field of structural engineering from University of Surrey, UK in 1989.
Dr. Rahal is the author and co-author of many publications in the field of structural and environmental engineering. He supervised a number of master degree students in the fields of project/construction management and structural engineering.
Dr. Rahal current research interests are in the sectors of construction management and climate change .He is participating in a number of research programs with international organizations.

At the forefront of the academic realm, Dr. Fatima Mazeh serves as a full-time instructor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Holding a diploma in electronics from the Lebanese University in 2012, she furthered her expertise with a Master's Degree in Microwave Engineering in 2014 from the same institution. In 2018, Dr. Mazeh successfully completed her Ph.D., delving into the Numerical Analysis of Radar Response to Snow, a collaborative effort supervised by Grenoble University, France, and the Lebanese University.
Her commitment to advancing knowledge extends to her authored works, including nine conference research papers and one journal research paper. Dr. Fatima Mazeh brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as a full-time instructor.
