About President

Professor Ali Haidar Alaeddine, a researcher and university professor with extensive experience in higher education and academic administration, is the President of Al-Maaref University. Since September 2016, he has led the university towards consolidating academic and administrative quality, diversifying and modernizing undergraduate and graduate programs, strengthening scientific and research partnerships, ensuring the requirements for distinguished education and a safe university environment, and motivating students to excel and innovate.

He holds a PhD in Communications from the University of Limoges in France, in addition to a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Communications and a State Engineering Diploma in Electronics. Prior to assuming the presidency of Al-Maaref University, he held several administrative positions at the Lebanese University, including Director of the Faculty of Sciences – Branch 1, and Head of the Department of Physics and Electronics. He also served as a scientific and academic advisor to the President of the Lebanese University and participated in and chaired several central committees, which provided him with broad experience in managing and developing academic programs and overseeing the university's academic and administrative affairs.
