Borrowing

 Al Maaref University’s Library offers circulation service for the university community such as students, professors, and employees. Non-members can also check the books available in the Library.

1- Category of borrowers:

- Staff
- Students
- Postgraduate students
- Graduate students
- Employees
- Visitors, guests, and reciprocals

2- Loan period and the number of items allowed for each category

3- Non-circulated items

- Textbooks
- Rare books
- Senior projects and thesis
- Images
- Latest issue of a magazine
- Maps

4- Renewals and reservation

- Items can be renewed unless it is reserved by someone else, from the Library Online Catalogue via the “Renew” service or by visiting the Library.
- Borrowed items can be reserved from the Library Online Catalogue, via the “Place Hold” service, or by visiting the Library.
- An Email notice will be sent to the beneficiary on the arrival of reserved documents.

Place Hold

It’s a service that enables professors and students to reserve their books from the comfort of their home. 

Onsite Book

Checking it is a service offered to library users that enable them to view/ use books and references within the library.

Academic Staff Training

it is a service offered to MU academic staff through which they are trained on how to use /search specific online databases. These workshops are initiated by the libraries or the online databases providers, and sometimes by the faculties based on their needs.

Computers

All libraries are equipped with computers connected to the internet. In addition to the Wi-Fi all around MU Campuses. We offer computers with a variety of software to help accomplish your goals. Whatever you need internet access or a program to complete a research paper.
